Frequently asked questions

I want to know more about traineeships at KFC

Great! Traineeships are a fantastic way to grow your career with KFC while gaining a Nationally Recognised Qualification. They combine real work experience with structured, on-the-job training and usually take between one and three years to complete.

Currently, traineeships are available in, NSW (non-school based / school leavers only) and SA. If you’re working part-time or full-time in one of these states and are interested, speak to your Restaurant Manager to find out more.

What is a USI and why do I need one?

A USI ( Unique Student Identifier) is your personal education number for life. It’s an online record of your VET training undertaken in Australia. If you are at university, TAFE or doing other Nationally Recognised Training, you need a USI. If you do not have one and need to apply for a USI, Click the link - https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi

If you are still in school, that’s cool! We have School Based Traineeships too! This can be integrated with your school curriculum and earn you ATAR points. These are available to students in years 10, 11 and 12 (in selected states). Speak to your Restaurant Manager for more information.
